Grandparents Day Information

 
You are invited to celebrate Grandparent’s Day at CES at a picnic with grands! We are very excited and want the day to be special for you and your grand!  
 
The safety of students and staff is our main priority, because of this I wanted to share with you again our procedures for visitors.  All visitors must be checked into the building through the front office. If you do not have a current background check on file, you must bring your driver’s license to be processed through GateKeeper. With many guests expected the checking in process may be lengthy.  Honoring your time with grands is important to us so, we are offering an option to pre-register. If you do not have a background check on file, please consider completing one or coming to the school with your driver’s license prior to Tuesday, 9/19 to pre-register for the event. The cost of a background check is $10 and must be turned in by Monday, 9/11 so they are processed in time for the event. If you need assistance, please call the office at 270-664-2227.
 
On Tuesday, grandparents should arrive 15 minutes prior to their student’s assigned lunch time. All visitors must enter through the front office, please bring your driver’s license.You may bring picnic blankets or lawn chairs for your picnic outside. School lunch will be provided to all students and adults can also purchase a meal. The cost of an adult meal is $4.75. PTA will provide a treat for all students and grandparents! The Book Fair will also be set up in the library if you would like to take your grand! If you have multiple grands, please return to the office to wait for the next lunch time.                         
Please RSVP and indicate if you will be purchasing a school lunch by Monday, 9/11. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the office. We are looking forward to celebrating with you!

Please RSVP on ParentSquare asap. If you have already filled out a paper copy or on the app you do not need to register again. We are expecting a large number of guest that day and those that have not completed an RSVP will have to be registered using our computer process. We want to honor your time with your grands!
