Webster County Board Members Attend the KSBA Conference
Webster County Board of Education members attended the KY School Board Association conference in Louisville this past weekend. The conference is a weekend of learning and networking, during which board members can earn their state-mandated training hours. Venita Murphy currently serves as one of the KSBA Directors-at-Large. Thank you to Kamryn Hayes, WCHS 11th Grader, for designing the Webster County conference banner using the conference theme, " Public Education: Road to Greatness."

Read Across America Week March 3rd - 7th
Every year, Read Across America Week inspires a love of reading in children and adults alike. Led by the National Education Association (NEA), this week encourages communities to engage with books, storytelling, and literacy-based activities.

This year’s theme, ”Explore New Worlds Through Reading,” highlights the power of books to transport readers to different times, places, and perspectives. Special school events during the week will foster excitement about literacy.

How can you participate with your child? You can pick up a new book, stop by the public library to check out books or share a story with a child. Read Across America Week reminds us that reading opens doors to endless possibilities!
